If you want to introduce the Check and Cancel self-serve feature to patients twenty-four hours a day, you can add it to your call flow with minimal configuration using the steps detailed below
Some of our customers have used the sequence below to offer the feature first, before any greeting, even at weekends or when the surgery is closed
This means patients calling to check or cancel an appointment can do so at any time without joining a queue or speaking to a member of staff
Add the API user to the start block
Add a Menu
Edit menu Properties, set Repeats to 0
Add Prompt Audio offering a new automated service
Add Visible Output
Add the Patient Identifier Block (change voice in Properties) and the Check and Cancel Block
Route Check and Cancel output 1 to the Patient ID Block, Route Default and Nothing to your main calendar
Route the Identified output to the Check and Cancel Block
Route the Not Identified output to your main calendar
Add a hang-up to the Success output
Route the No Appointments Found output and Fail output to your main calendar
Deploy
You could add another Menu after No Appointments Found, asking patients to Press 1 if they were calling to check that they had no appointments booked.
