How do I give a User their Surgery Connect Password to Log in?

Supervisors can send an automatically generated email to a User so they can log in to Surgery Connect through the Single Sign On.

This can be done when a new User is added, see our Adding Users Individually Guide, or it can be done if they have forgotten or request a new password.

Step by step guide

Accessing Users

  1. Log in to Surgery Connect - sso.x-onweb.com - with your NHS email address and Surgery Connect password

  2. Select the Service Delivery Console

  3. Click on the Users tab

  4. When you access the list of Users you will see this table

Finding your User

  1. At the bottom of your user table you will see the page scroll

You can use this to manually search the User list by increasing the table view rows and navigating between pages,

    or

  2. You can use the search at the top of the User table

Sending the re-set email

  1. Once you have identified to User you want to send the email to click on the teal Email icon in the Options column

  2. You will see the Success notification at the top of your screen

  3. The User will be sent an email to the email address in the account created in the Service Delivery Console (usually an NHS email address) with a link. Click on the link

Note: The login link in this email expires after 30 minutes

  4. When a User requests to reset their password they will receive an email

  5. Create a new password

  6. When a User has reset their password they will receive a confirmation email

8. Logged in Users can now reset their own password if they want using the Manage Account option available via the burger menu in the SSO Consoles

9. In the Manage Account Screen Users enter their existing password and then enter a new password

As you type your password the stipulations listed above will tick if the password is acceptable or cross if it is not

10. Similarly, when a user changes their password they should receive an email
