A full guide to installing and setting up your Phonebar for SystmOne

The following guide will take you through how to install and set up the Phonebar for SystmOne

Step by step guide


Before you start!

When getting started, a SystmOne Administrator must be the first user in the practice to follow the installation process to approve the integration with the clinical system

The Phonebar will need to connect itself (associate) to your SystmOne profile before you can use it so you must login before you start

  1. Log into SystmOne

  2. Keep it open in the background during the set up process


Step 1 - Download the Phonebar installer

You will have been provided with a download link for the Phonebar Installer

  1. Click on the link provided to start the download

    NOTE: if this doesn't open up the installer straight away, double-click on the Phonebar install file

  2. The Phonebar Setup window will display

  3. Click on the CLICK HERE TO GET STARTED button

    This will open up the SSO Log in in a new browser tab

    NOTE: If you have not already logged in to your SSO you will need to enter your email address and click Forgot your password?, this will email you a link to set your password


Step 2 - Log into the Surgery Connect SSO

  1. Log in to the Surgery Connect SSO

  2. Once you have completed the log in process, you will see an authentication notice, to confirm your Surgery Connect profile, you can now continue with the set up


Step 3 - Follow the on screen set up instructions

  1. Click back onto the Phonebar set up while it continues to verify your details

  2. Once your identity has been confirmed you will receive a welcome screen - check it has recognised your user profile correctly

  3. If you are happy that is has authenticated you correctly click NEXT

  4. Select SystmOne as your integration option

  5. Then confirm you have SystmOne open by clicking the tick box in the NOTE

  6. Once both have been selected, click NEXT

  7. You will then need to confirm your SystmOne Approval. Click onto SystmOne, when you do this a pop up should appear

  8. Click Approve

  9. SystmOne will then ask you to name the device, you can change the automatic name if you want

  10. Click OK

  11. When doing this for the first time you will then be asked to click the Associate button, if you are happy with the user association

  12. The Associate button will turn into a green tick confirming the association

  13. Click NEXT

  14. You will be notified of Setup success

  15. Click FINISH

  16. This will launch the Phonebar


SystmOne Upgrade Process

  1. Open Settings from the User Menu

  2. Select About from the left hand menu

  3. Click CHECK FOR UPDATES

  4. You will receive a notification

  5. The Application Updates popup will display

    If you don’t see popup check the icon in your taskbar, the icon will pulse orange, if you hover your mouse over it you will see the pop up

  6. Choose Restart to update now

    or Later, if you click Later it will update either when the application is closed or SystmOne is locked

    Note: When clicking Restart it does not restart your entire PC, only the Phonebar
