Updated over a year ago

Start

Start is the start of your call flow, whether this is your main call line in to the surgery, DDI's or Group Numbers

You can allocate different numbers to the start block or change the hold music

This guide will take you through everything you need to know about the Start block and how to manage it:

Step by step guide

Adding a start block

If you are starting from an Empty Call Flow Template, the Start icon will be the only block on your X-flow workspace

  1. If you can not see a Start Block on your workspace drag and drop the start icon onto your workspace

Editing a Start Block

  1. Double click on the Start block to open the Start Properties

Numbers Tab

This will show the numbers associated with the call flow

If there is no Live number associated when creating a Group call flow, it will be created against a Test Number

  1. Name - Change the name of the Start block to make it more descriptive

  2. Add an unassigned number to the call flow by clicking the Add Live Number button

  3. This will show you a list of your available unassigned numbers, which you can choose from

  4. Select your number and click Add

  5. You will be asked to Confirm your selection

  6. The assigned number will now show in your numbers list

Music on Hold Tab

You can use the default hold music, or upload your own file. This is only on hold music, not the queue music which is configured in your playlist

Remember: you should NOT use licensed music

Integrations Tab

In order to to use Check and Cancel, double click on the Integrations tab and add the Integration API User details

Save and Deploy

You must save the changes you have made to your Start Block

  1. Click Save

Any changes you have made to your Start Block will be saved

  2. At the top of your call flow you will now see the undeployed version warning

  3. If you are happy with your call flow - Deploy your call flow to make it live
