What is the Service Delivery Console? An Introduction

The Surgery Connect Service Delivery Console (SDC) can be used to manage various aspects of your Surgery Connect system

Updated this week

The Service Delivery Console is used to add and manage Users and Groups, to set up and manage Calendars, and to create the actions taken through call flows

How it works

To make the most out of Surgery Connect, we need to know about your team: the people (Users), the phones you’re going to use (Extensions), how to filter your calls (Groups), how your surgery works (Calendar), and how you want to bring it all together (Numbers and Call Flow). This is all accessed through the Service Delivery Console (SDC)

Users

Surgery Connect allows your Users to be located anywhere in the practice, or work remotely and make and receive calls. No matter where you are or which device you are using, so long as you are logged in. Surgery Connect will know it’s you and calls will come from and to your (User) number

Supervisors can add new Users, change details for existing Users or remove leavers

New Users can be added individually, or uploaded in bulk using a template

Extensions

If you are using desk phones with Surgery Connect, we’ll be installing new Yealink handsets at your Surgery. You can define the people and teams who can log into them

Groups

Organise your Users into Groups and align them with the surgery teams they are in

In Surgery Connect, telephone numbers and short dials can be associated with groups. That way, anyone in the group can answer already directed calls - and when they do, they hear a message before the call is connected - called a whisper, which will tell them it's a call to that group

Calendars

Calendars allow you to control the opening times for all your surgery’s phone numbers. You can also use calendars to specify the availability of your groups

Numbers

With Numbers and Call Flows you can decide which number belongs to who and how it will be used

Bring everything together and define what happens when someone rings your practice, at any time

Advanced Area

You can access and set the configuration of some of the advanced features of your system
