How do I delete a calendar event?

It is best to delete an event from a calendar in the Configuration Console so that you can control which events are removed

If you delete a recurring event in the Service Delivery Console Calendars for example, all instances of that event will be deleted automatically, but you may want to delete the re-occurring event on one specific date only - this is best done through the Configuration Console

Step by step guide

Accessing Calendars

  1. Log in to Surgery Connect - sso.x-onweb.com - with your NHS email address and Surgery Connect password

  2. Select the Configuration Console

  3. Click on Calendars in the left hand side menu

  4. The calendars table will display

  5. Click the pen icon on the required calendar to access the advanced calendar settings

Deleting a Single Event

Once you have found your calendar through the Configuration Console and clicked edit the full calendar view will display

  1. Use the Navigation Arrows to move to the date needed on the calendar

  2. Select the event you want to remove from your calendar

  3. A pop up will appear, to edit (delete) the event click EDIT

  4. The Event Manager window will open

  5. Click Delete to remove the event from your calendar

  6. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the event

Once the event has been deleted you will see it has been removed from your calendar

  7. Close your calendar

Deleting a re-occurring event

  1. Click on the event that you want to delete on the calendar

  2. Click Edit on the pop up

  3. This will open the Event Manager

  4. Click Delete to remove the event

You will see a warning message pop up when using Delete

CANCEL - will return you to the Event Manager

CONFIRM - will only delete the selected event only

DELETEALL - will remove all instances of the event from the calendar

  5. If you choose DELETEALL, you will need to confirm your choice before the 10 second timer reaches 0, otherwise the action will timeout and you will need to return to the Event Manager

Once the event has been deleted you will see it has been removed from your calendar

  6. Close your calendar
