Surgery Connect has a Central Directory where you can add your external contacts, so everyone can access an up to date contact list.

How do I edit or delete Directory Contacts?

The Directory in your User Console will display all of the internal (User/Group) numbers and your External numbers.

Contacts can be added individually or in bulk through the Configuration Console. You can also search and edit external numbers already in your central directory. But the easiest way to do this is through the User Console. Please see our guide on the Central Directory in the User Console.

Step-by-step guide

Edit Directory Contacts

Navigate to the Configuration Console.

Select Directory from the menu on the left-hand side.

Use the Search to find the contact to be edited.

To edit the contact, click on the pen icon.

This will bring up the contact details and tell you that you are editing this contact.

Make your required changes.

Notes can be added to Contacts via the Notes section. These can then be viewed in the Directory when viewing a contact

Click Save.

You will be returned to the main Contacts directory screen and the notification below will show.


Delete Directory Contacts

Navigate to the Configuration Console.

Select Directory from the menu on the left hand side.

Use the Search to find the contact to be edited.

To edit the contact, click on the delete icon.

You will be asked to confirm the deletion.

You will be returned to the main Contacts directory screen and the notification below will show.
