How do I change my desk phone ringtone?

You can change all internal ringtones on Surgery Connect.

This can be used to alert you to calls aimed at a certain group such as Emergency Bypass calls or it can be used across the board internally to allow you to differentiate between internal and external calls.

This would be ideal for your Reception desk phones.

Step by step guide

Accessing Extensions

  1. Log in to Surgery Connect - sso.x-onweb.com - with your NHS email address and Surgery Connect password

  2. Navigate to the Configuration Console

  3. To the left of the Configuration Console you will see the menu. Select Extensions

  4. To the right of the menu you will now see a full list of your named extensions (desk phones)

Finding your desk phone/extension

  1. The extensions will be listed alphabetically, scroll down the screen until you find the extension you are looking for, or type into the search bar

  2. Click on the edit button to open all of the configurable aspects you have for that extension

Changing the Ringtone

  1. With your extension open in edit, click on the Ringtones tab

  2. The ringtone table will now open, at the top you will see the ringtone that desk phone is currently set to. Below that you will see whether you have any group ringtones set up

  3. If you want to be able to tell the difference between your internal and external calls, change the Internal Call Ringtone

  4. If you want to distinguish between groups for example changing the sound of the Emergency Bypass group, change the Group Ringtones

    Note: There 10 different ringtones

  5. Once you are happy with your ringtone set up Save

  6. To the top of your screen you will see a success notification

  7. Once your device has updated you will be returned to the main Extensions list
