Star Keys/Star Numbers
Surgery Connect uses various key functions in combination with the * key, these are called Star keys. Using star keys eliminates the need for an actual function button
Star key combinations can pause and restart call recordings, transfer calls and pick up calls
These Star functions can be used on the keypad of any device, your desk phone, softphone, and your mobile device
Pause call recording/restart call recording
* 5
The pause and restart recording keys can be used on any device; *5 pauses a call and pressing *5 again restarts the recording.
Call pick up
*8
The call pick up key works on any device; pressing *8 on the keyboard allows you to pick up a call on behalf of someone else.
Transfer
*7
If you have call put through to your mobile device you can still transfer calls by dialling *7
Dial *7 you will then be asked for the number you want to put the call through to
Call accepted - dial # to complete the transfer
Call rejected - dial *7 to return to the original call
