The Mode Switch is used to check a Calendar. Mode Switches can be customised to the requirements of the practice.

The Mode Switch is used to check a Calendar

This can either control the opening times of the main practice number (usually called the Main Calendar) or to restrict the opening times of a particular Group, for example restricting Prescription calls so they are only presented between 10am and 2pm

Mode Switches can be customised to the requirements of the practice

Note: Calendars must be created in the Service Delivery Console before they can be added to a call flow. See our guide on Adding Calendars

Step by step guide


Adding Mode Switch

  1. Drag and drop the Mode Switch icon onto the X-flow workspace

  2. Select the Calendar to be checked from the available list

  3. Click Add

    Your Mode Switch will be created in your workspace


Editing a Mode Switch

  1. Double click on the Mode Switch on your workspace to access the properties, audio and output options

Mode Switch Name

Change the name of the Mode Switch

Calendar

Change the calendar that the Mode Switch checks if the wrong one has been selected

Visible Outputs Tab

  1. Select the outputs required for this calendar

    You can select from the Modes that are set up for your calendar

  2. Save changes

  3. The Mode Switch block will then display outputs for each Mode selected


Save and Deploy

You must save the changes you have made to your Menu Block

  1. Click Save

    Any changes you have made to your Mode Switch will be saved

  2. At the top of your call flow you will now see the undeployed version warning

  3. If you are happy with your call flow - Deploy your call flow to make it live
