All call recordings are stored for up to three years. You can search for these recordings (over 24 hours old), in the Archived Calls view.

How do I find and listen to archived call recordings?

If you are searching for a completed call in the last 3 years, you can use the search and filter functions in the Archived Call List.

When you open the Archive Call list it will automatically set the calendar for the last month of calls.

Step by step guides

Search by name or number

Set your date period.

Click in the date range box

This will open the calendar pop up, where you can choose from standard date ranges or a custom date range

Click on the magnifying glass icon to open the search calls function

You can search the call list by name or number. This can be an external number (i.e. patient number), internal short dial number or a name stored in your directory or a User name or number

Type in the name or number you are looking for in the search box

All calls inbound or outbound during your set time period will show in the Call list for that name or number, then you can identify the call recording or recordings that you would like to listen to

Don’t Forget: Clear your search after you have found your call recording to return your Call List to the Active View


Search by filter

Set your date period.

Click in the date range box

This will open the calendar pop up, where you can choose from standard date ranges or a custom date range

Click on the filter icon to open the search calls function. You can filter the call list by one or more filters

Choose your filters

Filter current (ongoing calls) - Filter ended calls

Filter inbound calls - Filter outbound calls

Filter internal calls - Filter external calls

Filter answered calls

Filter missed/unanswered calls

Filter abandoned calls

Filter voicemail calls

All calls in your chosen filters and set time period will show in the call list

Then you can identify the call recording or recording that you would like to listen to

Don’t Forget: Clear your search after you have found your call recording to return your Call List to the Active View


Play call recording

Click on the Play Recording Icon

You can replay the recording, download the recording onto your computer or delete the recording, all from the recording toolbar

If you choose to delete the call recording you will be asked to provide a reason for the deletion. This reason is stored by Surgery Connect and you can ask our Support Team for a deletion log

Note: Only Supervisors can delete call recordings
