Voicemail Pin - Deskphone

A Voicemail PIN is required for a User/Group accessing their messages via a phone, and to change the outgoing message

Updated this week

How do I find the Voicemail PIN?

A voicemail pin is required to listen to your voicemail messages via the deskphone or if you want to change the standard outgoing voicemail message for User voicemail or Group voicemail

The voicemail pin for your Group will be the pin for the User who is the Administrator for that Group

This guide will show you how to find a Users Voicemail Pin and how to identify your group administrator, so you can find the Group voicemail pin:

Step by step guide

Accessing Users

Log in to Surgery Connect - sso.x-onweb.com - with your NHS email address and Surgery Connect password

Select the Configuration Console

Select Users from the menu on the left hand side

Once you have navigated to the Users area the User table will display

Finding your User

Use the Name Search box to search for the User

Identifying the User's Voicemail Pin

To find the Users Voicemail Pin (Authentication Pin) you will need to Edit the user

Click the pen icon on the required User to view and edit the profile

The Editing Users window will open on the General tab

The Users Voicemail Pin is the Authentication PIN

This pin can also be used to customise your voicemail greeting. For more information, see our Help Guide here

Accessing Groups

Log in to Surgery Connect - sso.x-onweb.com - with your NHS email address and Surgery Connect password

Select the Configuration Console

Select Groups from the menu on the left hand side

Once you have navigated to the Groups area the Groups table will display

Identifying the Group Administrator

Find your Group either by using the Name search, or by manually scrolling through the Group table

Click to Edit your selected Group

Under the General tab you will see the Group Administrator

If the Administrator is Unspecified anyone who is in the Group will use their own voicemail pin to listen to voicemail via the deskphone

If the Administrator is a specified User, click on the blue person icon

This will take you straight to the User's General tab where you will see the Authentication PIN (Voicemail PIN)

If you are sharing a group pin it is best practice to have a Generic User set as the administrator so that anyone in the group can access the Group Voicemails. For guidance on setting this up, see our Help Guide here
