Screen Dialler/Softphone Settings

Your on screen dialler can also be your softphone, you can change where it displays on your User Console

Updated this week

How do I move my softphone?

Your on screen dialler can be made into a device to make and receive calls, called the softphone

The softphone is your on-screen phone. You can use the softphone in the surgery through a PC or laptop, or when working remotely or for video calls

For more information, see our Help Centre Guide on Numbers and Device Management here

You can re-position where your softphone displays on the User Console

Step by step guide

Navigate to your User Console Settings via the menu

Select the Softphone Tab

Setting the Toggle Softphone to off removes the Dial Pad from view

To set your Softphone to Free Mode, toggle the button on

Doing this allows you to move the location on the Softphone to anywhere on your screen, and re-size the screen if desired. To move the Softphone once in Free Mode, click and hold the arrow icon in the right hand corner and move to its desired position

To move your Softphone without using Free Mode, select one of the blank locations in the Softphone Position table. Once this is clicked, the dot will display as green and the Softphone will move to this location

Please note: you are unable to select these locations if the Free Mode toggle is on. To view these location settings, switch free mode to Off
