What are User Shortcuts?

At the top right hand side of your User Console are the user shortcuts. These give you quick access to the Dial Pad, SMS, Surgery Connect Menu and User Settings

Dial Pad

Your Dial Pad is usually located at the bottom right hand corner of the User Console, in its minimised form

The Dial Number shortcut will open the Dial Pad to its full size. You can also expand the Dial Pad using the arrow on the minimised form

You can dial a number by either using your mouse to click, your keyboard to manually enter the number, or by copy and pasting

If you are using your mobile as a call device, you need to call out through Surgery Connect and the screen Dial Pad. Alternatively, you can use Click to Call with the User Console

SMS

Clicking on the double speech button icon will open your SMS writer

SMS Templates can be set up for your Surgery, and sent to Patients quickly via the SMS shortcut

From here, you can either copy and paste the Patient number from the screen, or select a number from the Directory

You can either choose an SMS template, or type your own message or useful links

For more information on sending SMS via Surgery Connect, see our SMS Feature Help Guides here

Menu

By clicking the Menu icon, you can quick and easily access your Surgery Connect Consoles, as well as the Support Portal and your User Console Settings

User Profile

Here you can select the Device you would like to receive and make calls on. This includes a mobile device, if this has been added to your User Profile. Please note: you can only be logged into one device at a time

You can also manage your User Status to determine whether you receive calls, and log out of your Device at the end of the day via the User Status section

By clicking the Groups under Group Management section, you can add and remove yourself from call Groups, determining which calls you receive

Please note: Supervisors can any User Profile through the User List and change these settings when needed for their staff
