What are User Shortcuts?
At the top right hand side of your User Console are the user shortcuts. These give you quick access to the Dial Pad, SMS, Surgery Connect Menu and User Settings
User Attributes
Dial Pad
Your Dial Pad is usually located at the bottom right hand corner of the User Console, in its minimised form
The Dial Number shortcut will open the Dial Pad to its full size. You can also expand the Dial Pad using the arrow on the minimised form
You can dial a number by either using your mouse to click, your keyboard to manually enter the number, or by copy and pasting
If you are using your mobile as a call device, you need to call out through Surgery Connect and the screen Dial Pad. Alternatively, you can use Click to Call with the User Console
SMS
Clicking on the double speech button icon will open your SMS writer
SMS Templates can be set up for your Surgery, and sent to Patients quickly via the SMS shortcut
From here, you can either copy and paste the Patient number from the screen, or select a number from the Directory
You can either choose an SMS template, or type your own message or useful links

User Attributes
The User Attribute icon will display in different colours depending on your User Status
Click the icon to open the User Attributes window. You User Name and internal short dial are displayed at the top left hand corner
Your available numbers and handsets are displayed in the Numbers tab. From here, you can select the Device you would like to receive and make calls on. This includes a mobile device, if this has been added to your User Profile. Please note: you can only be logged into one device at a time
Your User Status is displayed in the next tab. Your current status will display a tick next to is - to change the status, simply click the one you wish to activate
The call groups available to you are displayed in the Group Management tab. Groups you are currently active in have a tick next to them - to add or remove yourself from a group, click the relevant item

Menu
By clicking the Menu icon, you can quick and easily access your Surgery Connect Consoles, as well as the Support Portal and your User Console Settings
User Profile
Click on your initials to access your User Profile
To change your Surgery Connect password, click Manage Account. You can also Logout, if required
If you have multiple Users across different Surgery Connect Services, you can also open this menu to switch between these logins quickly
Please note: Supervisors can any User Profile through the User List and change these settings when needed for their staff
